Debra Sue Bennett

Deb left us on October 11, 2013 at the age of 61 passed away after succumbing to heart issues at Legacy Mt. Hood Hospital. She had spent the last several years struggling with health issues. Peace at last no more pain.

Deb lived in Gresham Oregon with her husband Scott, her son Kristopher and her grandchildren Bruce and Paityn, along with her beloved dogs.

Born in Eugene Oregon, she later moved to Klamath Falls with her parents, brothers Jeff, Greg, and sister Carliene. When Deb met Scott, they soon moved to the Portland area in 1980. Scott and Deb were married for 40 years this year.

Deb had her only child Kristopher in 1988. She was a loving and caring soul that was extremely selfless; she loved crafts and repurposing items with the grandchildren. She loved to bake; her and our favorite was her cookies from scratch. Deb was an amazing gardener; she had a way with plants. Deb was never scared of hard work and loved taking on new challenges. She did brighten the lives around her. Her smile could light up a room and she’ll be dearly missed. One of her joys that she missed the past couple of years was driving her little blue mini Cooper that always made her smile shine that much more.

Debra you will be remembered for you kind heart.

A funeral service for Debra will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd, Gresham, Oregon.
