Dave was born on December 4, 1962 in Vancouver, Washington. He worked his entire career in the construction industry where he made many connections and established life-long friendships. When Dave’s son was a teenager the two of them shared a passion for motocross. Eventually this evolved into a fondness for RV camping with family and friends.
Dave will be remembered for his crazy jokes, grilling expertise, and artistic talents. Dave was a wonderful husband, a loving father, a supportive friend, and a caring son and brother. His humor, generosity, and general “Davey antics” will be missed.
Dave is survived by his wife Angie Wright, son Jacob Wright, step-daughter Kayla McLain, parents Gary and Betty Wright, sister Kim (Wright) Baton, and brother Eric Wright.
Dave’s wife and children wish to thank his circle of friends for their loving support and camaraderie as well as commend his care teams at Portland Adventist and Portland Providence for their compassionate care of Dave. The family plans to hold a celebration of life once large gatherings are permitted again.
