David was born on May 28, 1926 in Bismarck, North Dakota and was the son of Harold and Esther (Mandigo) Keller. During the Depression he moved with his family to Portland and graduated from Jefferson High School.
David enlisted in the Army Air Corp serving during WWII. He received an honorable discharge in 1945 and on October 12, 1946 he married Gladys Meyer in Portland, Oregon. He worked for 25 years for PGE as a Lineman. He later worked for AB Chance Company in Missouri and Indianapolis and after 15 years, he returned to Gresham where he worked various companies.
David was a fair, honest man who always put his family first. He had a witty sense of humor and loved going to the beach especially when it was spur of the moment. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events, reading and teaching himself to use his computer at age 76.
David is survived by his children, Andy (wife, Gail) Keller of West Linn, Sue (husband, Gary) Loucks of Vancouver, Joe (wife, Cindy) Keller of Gresham and David (companion, Cynthia) Keller of Eugene, sisters, Holly Hosford of Portland and Ruth Indermuehle of Vancouver along with grandchildren, Mary, Kevin, Ramey, Nikki, Jake and Jenny and great grandchildren, Emily, Madelyn, Brynley and Preston. His wife Gladys, son Dan and granddaughter Angela all preceded him in death.
A Private Service will be held. Contributions may be made in memory of David to Adventist Hospice. Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
