Dear Dick and Family,

Carol was an extraordinary, lovely lady who dearly loved God, Dick and her family. Her smile and love for others was very special, too.  I will never forget her showing us her candy bar messages to you, Dick, the love of her life.  We will all miss her.  Love and prayers, Myrt and Rod Gradin

I already miss Auntie Carol so much, but I know she is exactly where she wants to be and where she deserves to be. I'll never forget the way she loved everyone she ever met and how she was able to smile through so much. Her heart is the deepest and most loving of anyone I know and is something I will strive to replicate. As I told my mom when I last saw her, Carol is truly proof that angels do exist.

Corky and I send our love, prayers and deepest condolences to all of Carol's family.  Growing up in Columbus, we remember her as a girl with many special talents and always looking to help those around her.  RIP Carol......your battles are finally over.  You will be truly missed.

I've asked Trevor to share with you my words, because I just heard news of your health and I can't make it over there to tell you myself.
Words can never express my love and admiration for you, dear Carol.  Since the first time I met you  - when I was 11 or 12 – you have had an amazing and positive influence on my life.  Your unconditional love for everyone – your patience, your grace and humor have provided me with the best role model.
And not just for me – but I speak for my entire family – Bill, Mary & Lara.  You've been so kind to all of us – and shared in our joys and sorrows.  You always knew just the right thing to say and to do when we were sometimes at our lowest.
Know that we all love you with our whole hearts – you are in our thoughts and prayers – and know how grateful we all are to have had you – such an amazing woman --  in our lives.

Carol was a beautiful friend with a joyful heart.  She brought such joy into our lives and so many others.  Our prayers go out to her family and friends as she will be missed by so many.

My heart is deeply sadden by hearing of the loss of one of the most amazing lady's around!! She was full of kindness and love! I will never forget the joy she brought into my life. You are all in my thoughts and my heart! Heaven is surely gaining a beautiful angel!!

My sister Carol was a spiritual lighthouse for her greater family. However far flung or estranged people got, she was always there as a conduit back to our sense of family. She exemplified a Christian life and her belief in Christ made her a spiritual powerhouse with life results that has and will leave people in awe. Even her tough love had unassailable compassion in it that made her a go to girl. Let's honor her commitment to God and try to emulate her as we can in our futures.

What can I say about my dear Aunt Carol... She was an incredible lady. She always had a special way of getting me to tell her my deepest secrets. She was right with me with every achievement and her special burst of excitement will be with me for the rest of my life. 

When I was in Kindergarten, I had the pleasure of going to stay at my Aunt Carol and Uncle Dick's house for a week. It was during this stay, that we created many memories that I hold dear to my heart. During this rare time of being an only child, I was able to eat the cookie dough off of BOTH of the metal beaters on the hand mixer. We released a balloon to go to my Uncle Dick's mom in heaven, and we went to see Disney on Ice at the Rose Garden. All of these things were little activities in the moment, but now they have grown into treasured memories.   
 
Another thing that I will miss from my Aunt Carol, is the way that she filled the blank side of my birthday card with words of encouragement and blessings. She had the best hand writing and always knew what to say to push me to be a better person.

She was truly one of gods greatest treasures and she will be greatly missed here on earth. I will hold on to these memories for the rest of my days.

My Aunt Carol was the most amazing person I have ever known.  She had a way of making you feel like a million bucks by just speaking your name in her sweet voice. She always knew what to say at just the right time to make you feel special.  Her love for her family and friends will live on in all of our memories of her.  I love you and will miss you more than words can say.

Carol was a blessing to all of us who knew her. She was a special friend and sister in Christ. How thankful we are that God placed us in her neighborhood all those years ago. Forty years was stil not long enough to spend in her circle of friends. We look forward to seeing her again in the presence of our beloved Lord!  Chuck and I are praying for Dick, Stacy, and the rest of the family.

Carol was such a beautiful girl.  She was a true friend to many here in Columbus, who remember her well.  Extending sympathy to her sibs and family.  She will be missed.  RIP  Carol, you fought one hell of a battle.
