Brian Christopher Miller, 44 of Portland OR, passed away on April 2, 2022. He was born on September 14, 1977 to his parents Andrea Jane Fuerstenau and Craig T. J. Miller. Brian spent his entire life in Portland, graduating from La Salle Catholic High School where he excelled in English, Drama and Music. His writing was exceptional and two of his stories are still read aloud to the Honors English classes. He was the lead in three school plays.
During high school and college Brian organized several garage bands. Sean was the drummer and Brian played guitar and wrote many songs. They played gigs around town and inspired all the band members to embrace Punk Rock and practice often. Brian had an encyclopedic knowledge of Rock Music.
Brian graduated from Portland State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. His dear friend Paul Anson and Brian spent many good times together at Paul’s record store. Brian loved to run and completed his first marathon at sixteen. His love of traveling began at just ten years old when he went to Hong Kong on a business trip with his father. He had five adventurous trips to Europe including an entire summer in Holland.
Brian is survived by his parents; his beloved brother Sean Andrew Miller; stepfather Kurt Fuerstenau; stepsisters Heather Wilberger and Emily Fuerstenau and stepmother Melinda Miller. Brian adopted a kitten and named him Muffin. He and Muffin were together for an amazing seventeen years. Brian was dearly loved and will be missed by all his family and friends.
