William “Chigger” Jones, 78, of Knoxville, Arkansas, formerly of Fort Smith passed away Friday, December 2, 2022 in Knoxville. He was a retired pipefitter and welder for Local Union 198 in Baton Rouge, LA. He loved to hunt and trap and was a member of the National Trappers Association.
He is survived by his wife, Dale Jones, two sons, John Lee Jones and wife, Anita of Pahrump, NV and Travis Jones of Knoxville and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Thelma Bost and two sisters, Pearline Hiatt and Maxine Waits.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, December 29 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood.
