Thelma Irene Deahl, 88, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in Fort Smith. She was born in Frankfort, Kansas on March 28, 1934, the fifth of ten children born to Lafayette and Georgia Myers. She grew up on a farm near Clifton Hill, MO; she loved working and was a people person, who loved all her friends dearly. Thelma was retired from Whirlpool and a member of Greenwood First Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Mike Moore and wife, Kathy of Panama, OK; one daughter, Rhonda Ferro and husband, Tyrone of Witcherville; two sisters, Joan Raye of Richmond, MO and Lois Chism of Sturgeon, MO; one grandson, Daniel Moore and wife, Emily of Mansfield, TX and three great grandchildren, Shelbi, Griffin and Graham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ura M. Deahl, six brothers and one sister.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 10 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at the US National Cemetery in Fort Smith. Viewing will be Thursday from 2 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
