Ray Gilbreath, 71, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Monday, May 17, 2010 in Fort Smith. He was retired from Arkansas Oklahoma Gas, an Army veteran, member of GHS Class of 1957 and the Greenwood United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Woods Gilbreath, his father, Gilbert Gilbreath and two brothers, Ralph and Roy Gilbreath.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Greenwood United Methodist Church with burial at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Joicie of the home; one son, Phillip Gilbreath of Siloam Springs; four daughters, Marilyn Bair and husband, Tim of Fort Smith, Jennifer Rose and husband, Michael of Fort Smith, Kelly Cumbee and husband, Mike of King George, VA and Anne Pyle of Greenwood; his mother, Mary Gilbreath of Greenwood; two sisters, Janice Quillman and Ruth Oliver both of Greenwood and eleven grandchildren, Andrew Bair, Megan Bair, Molly Rose, Abby Rose, Katherine Cumbee, Stephen Cumbee, Mary Rose Cumbee, Nathan Cumbee, Grace Cumbee, John Cumbee and Lily Cumbee.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, James Quillman, Larry Quillman, Stephen Malenshek, Robert Malenshek, Andrew Malenshek, Ryan Quillman, Cody Quillman, Christopher Malenshek and Aaron Malenshek. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Now and Then Sunday School Class.
Viewing will be Wednesday from 1 – 9 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
