Mrs. Ora Belle (Finney) Moore, wife of the late Charles P. Moore, Jr. was born on June 6, 1926 in Paris, Arkansas to her proud parents, Lum Columbus and Addie (Parks) Finney. She attended Booker T. Washington School in the Gray Rock Community, also located in Paris, Arkansas. She moved to Los Angeles, California where she met her husband, Charles. She worked as an attendant on the trolley cars transportation system. Ora and her husband later moved to Seattle, Washington where they purchased their home. After her husband passed away, Ora moved back to Paris to live with her sister, Wilma Oliver, who provided the care she needed in her last days.
Ora had no children of her own, but was very involved with her nieces and nephews. She loved playing various types of games, especially cards. Ora united with one of the Assembly of God Churches in Renton, Washington and later attended Pooles Temple in Gray Rock when her health permitted.
Ora’s survivors are Katherine Finney of Los Angeles, California and Wilma Oliver of Paris, Arkansas, also a host of family and friends. Ora had a special fondness for Pooles Temple Pastor Elder Larry Moore and Missionary Mary Moore. The beautiful memories of Ora Belle Moore will be forever cherished.
