Mary K. Gann, 93, lifelong resident of Hartford, Arkansas passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born March 20, 1930 in Midland, Arkansas to Edward and Lillian Phelps. She was a 1948 Hartford High School graduate, but attended elementary school in Midland. She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, a homemaker and of the Christian faith.
She is survived by her husband, Donald D. Gann, one daughter, Sheila Barnes and spouse, Sue Krutewicz of Saint Louis, Missouri, one brother, Jimmy Phelps and wife, Carol of Witcherville and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Kaye Matz, one brother, Edward Phelps and one sister, Naomi Bartlett.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m., Friday, September 22 at Mount Olive Cemetery in Midland under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Thursday from 1 – 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
