Lisa Diane Favela, 60, of Mansfield, Arkansas, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend passed away Friday, July 5, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas surrounded by her family. She was born August 3, 1963 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Jackson and Linda Smith. She worked for many years at BOST Human Development Center as a site director.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 32 years, Ramon Favela; two sons, Tanner Favela and Trevan Favela of Mansfield; her mother, Linda Pool of Mansfield; a brother, Rev. Tim Smith and wife, Valerie of Greenwood and nephew and niece, Josh Smith of Lavaca and Whitney Smith of Mineral Wells, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, George Jackson Smith, brother, Jeffery Scott Smith and beloved grandmother, Mary Dodge, lovingly known to her grandchildren as “Coco.”
Lisa loved being a mother, supporting her children any way she could. Taking care of her family was the joy of her life. Her kind heart was a blessing to all who knew her.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, July 11 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Freedom Cemetery near Elm Park. Viewing will be Wednesday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Chase Efurd, Jose Lopez, Josh Smith, Mason Efurd, David Smith and J.C. Patterson.
