Katy Susan Koch, 74, of Greenwood, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on June 25, 2024 in Greenwood, Arkansas. She was born November 8, 1949 in Paris, Arkansas to Kenneth and Corene Moore. She was a homemaker in every sense of the word.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Philip Koch; daughter, Lori Brown and husband, Stan of Greenwood; a son, Ben Koch and wife, Sheri of Fayetteville; one brother, Kenneth Moore and wife, Charlotte of Harahan, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Jessica Gunther and husband, Kirt of Dardanelle, Ethan Brown and wife, Kristian of Greenwood, Avery Brown of Barling and Kendall Koch of Fayetteville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jana Crouch.
She and Phil were high school sweethearts, and married during college. She was a military wife, and weathered his required absences with grace, always maintaining a well run household for when he returned. She created a wonderful home for raising her children, encouraging them to learn anything they wished, nourishing their creativity and supporting any endeavor they undertook from basketball to school plays. She took great joy and tremendous pride in each of her grandchildren.
Susan was not only a homemaker, but an extremely skilled person. She sewed, knitted, crocheted, quilted and spun wool into yarn, all accomplished with top notch ability. Many people have been the grateful recipients of her talents.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 28 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with interment at Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood. Visitation with the family will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday at the chapel.
