Jonathan Joseph "Joe" Short

Jonathan Joseph “Joe “ Short, 69, of Greenwood passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a retired editor for the Booneville Democrat and personal assistant for Judge Paul X. Williams.

Funeral service will be 10 am Thursday, July 16 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, Arkansas. Viewing will be Wednesday from 10 am to 4 pm at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 12-2 pm.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly of the home; five children Leigh of Mississippi, Missi of Tennessee, Pete, Kay and John all of Texas; two brothers, R.B. Short of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Ted Short of Booneville, Arkansas; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
