John G. Luhrs, 77, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Monday, October 16, 2023 in his home. He was born March 19, 1946 in Gadsden, Alabama to Henry and Norma Luhrs. He was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, a Baptist and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Semenika Luhrs; two daughters, Laurie Smith and Jenny Luhrs; three sons, Dragan Zivotic, Milan Zivotic and John Savu; one brother, Butch Luhrs; two sisters, Reba Luhrs and Frieda Hawkins; six grandchildren, Allie, Lynne, Whitney, Joshua, Anna and Gabrielle and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Sherrett.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 28 at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Gravelly, Arkansas. Cremation is under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
