Joe Magnani

Joe Magnani, 79, of Hartford, Arkansas died Saturday, April 30, 2011 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born January 21, 1932 to Mary and Victor Magnani of Hartford. Joe attended the College of the Ozarks in Clarksville, AR and served in the Army from 1954 to 1956, he retired from Beverly Enterprises after 17 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley Williams Magnani; three children, Jodi Ballew of Van Buren, Mark Magnani and wife, Terri of Fort Smith and Scott Magnani and wife, Sandy of Hartford and one sister, Mary Evelyn Fouts and husband, Bob of Hartford. Joe is blessed with two grandchildren, Jessy Ballew and Jerry Magnani.

Funeral service will be 10 am Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Jones Memorial United Methodist Church in Hartford with burial at Hartford Memorial Park under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Wednesday from 1 – 9 pm at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 pm.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Magnani, Mark Beckham, Bill Cotner, Bob Fouts, Terry Roberts and Wayne Wooten.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hartford United Methodist Church or the Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
