Jason Wagoner

Jason was raised to love Jesus, the Razorbacks, country music and the Andy Griffith show. He was known to his many fans and friends as “Wag”. Jason was a song writer and a Nashville Honky Tonk favorite. He still holds the record at Mansfield High School for the most 3 pointers in a single game, he made 9 in one game. He was always proud of that.

Jason is survived by his wife, Jill Wagoner; daughters, Hannah and Sophie Wagoner of Mt. Juliet, TN; his parents, Larry and Peggy Wagoner of Huntington, AR; his mother, Virginia Wagoner of Fort Smith, AR; his brother, Michael Wagoner and wife, Tonya of Huntington, AR; sister, Kelly Wagoner of Fort Smith; uncle, Buddy Goodwin and wife, Sandy of Little Rock; aunts, Elaine Perez of Washington, Sheri Hopkins of Mansfield, AR, Pam Owens and husband, Mike of Waldron, AR, Rhonda Wagoner of Booneville, AR; nieces, Rachel James and husband, Tyler of Greenwood, AR, Rheding Melton and husband, Jake of Fort Smith, AR, Raylee Wagoner of Huntington, AR, Allison Watts of Fort Smith, AR, Kyndall Watts of Poteau, OK, Leah Watts of Fort Smith, AR and many cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Boots and Ruby Goodwin; paternal grandparents, Howard and Janie Wagoner; mother-in-law, Jerry Pittsenbarger and uncle, Jerry Wagoner.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, October 21 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, Arkansas with burial at Clark’s Chapel Cemetery. Viewing will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday before the service.

Pallbearers will be Nickie Hobbs, Galen Martin, Tyler James, Jake Melton, Jacob Hopkins and Phillip Darr.
