Jack B. Dolan, 66, of Fort Smith passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at his home. He was born December 13, 1943 in Fort Smith to Luther and Esther Dolan. After working for years in the pipeline industry, in 1985 he opened his own pipeline and fiber optic inspection company, CMI. He also raised registered Brangus cattle under Circle JD Ranches. Retiring in 2006 he spent the later years enjoying his favorite hobby, beekeeping. He was a member of the Shriners of North America, Knights Templar of Van Buren, member Van Buren Black Diamond Lodge #549 and Greenwood Lodge #131 F&AM and of the Baptist faith. He had a love for his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce L. Dolan and his parents.
Graveside service will be 10 am Friday, June 11, 2010 at White Bluff Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Rev. Elton Pennington will be officiating. Viewing will be Thursday from 1 – 9 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 7 p.m.
He is survived by his daughter, Jacquelyn Dolan of Fort Smith; one son, Tommy Reed of Charleston; two brothers, Tommy Dolan and Carl Dolan of Fort Smith; one sister, Esther Mae Hutchins of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Ashley, Emily and Nick Khodayari and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Brown, Robert Hardy and Tommy Haney.
