Inice (Redwine) Swaim, 85, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 in Barling. She was born the youngest of eight children on July 11, 1939 in Jenny Lind, Arkansas to John German and Stella (Decker) Redwine. She was a retired cafeteria manager for Darby Junior High School and a member of Park Avenue Church of Christ.
She is survived by one son, John Swaim of Fort Smith; two daughters, Jean Avis and husband, Craig of Fort Smith and Jo Clayton and husband, Mark of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Christy Dana (Chauncey), Rebecca Sanchez (TJ), Ben Sanchez and Katie Clayton (Tiffney); five great grandchildren, Justin Clayton, Gabe Clayton, Aurora Dana, Junior Cormier and Aspen Dana and numerous special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Truett Swaim.
Memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, November 25 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood. Final resting place will be at Old Jenny Lind Cemetery.
