Howard H. LaMar

Howard H. LaMar, 72, of Hackett, Arkansas passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was retired from Whirlpool and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara LaMar, his parents, Helen Dyer and Cherry LaMar, sister, Carol Piatt and brother, Mark LaMar.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Liberty Cemetery. Viewing will be Tuesday from 4 – 6 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends.

He is survived by two daughters, Teresa Core and husband, Patrick of Alabama and Jennifer Costa and husband, Keith of Hackett; two sons, Scott LaMar of Missouri and Rev. Brian LaMar and wife, Kaye of Alma; two sisters, Joyce LaMar of Louisiana and Katherine Santiago and husband, John of Oregon; four brothers, Gerald LaMar of California, Darrell LaMar of Oregon, Bradly LaMar and wife, Linda of California and Jeff LaMar of Georgia; four grandchildren, Melissa Dale, Colby Costa, Ashley Dean and Michael Cosper and one great grandchild, Cameron Dale.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Williams, Elmo Kimmons, Phil Christenson, Donald Trotter and Odie Strozier.
