George Hester

Jefferson “George” Davis Hester, 64 of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a former ironworker for Holmes Erection and member of Freedom Free Will Baptist Church in Alma.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Freedom Free Will Baptist Church in Alma and 2 p.m. Friday at Hartford First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dora Hester; one son, Mark Hester of Coffeeville, KS; one step-son, Jeffery Scott Edwards of Fort Smith; two daughters, Amanda Stokes of Hartford and Stephanie Maddox of Fort Smith; one step-daughter, Casey Jones of Vian, OK; mother, Dorothy O’Brien; three brothers, Paul Hester of Hartford, Gene Hester of Hartford and Roy Hester of Clarksville and fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
