Dorothy Ann Rader

Dorothy Ann Rader, 74, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014. Born October 21, 1940 in Missouri. She grew up with many brothers and sisters. She married her husband, Robert Rader, in 1960, where they began their life together and began raising their family. They relocated to Arkansas in 1976 with their six children. Robert was a hard worker and provider, his life ended to lung cancer in 1978. She worked hard providing a home for her children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt to all of the family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert George Rader; two sons, Carl and Ricky Rader; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Newton of Fort Smith, Marie Rader of the home, Teresa Rader and spouse, Scott Pearson of Greenwood, and Lisa Rader of the home; one sister, Peggy Alexander; one brother, Donald Alexander; six grandchildren, Jessica Pina and husband Humberto of Fort Smith, Shyla Barnes and husband Derek of Fort Smith, J.R. Allen of Fort Smith, Robert Sanchez and wife Amber of Tullahoma, Tennessee, Terry Rader and Bobby Rader both of Houston, Texas; and twelve great-grandchildren, Emilio, Elena, Elias, Cris, Yasmin, Joaquin, Ambreah, Jonathan, Veronica, Savanah, Mariana, and Layla.

Funeral service will be 1 pm, Monday, December 22, 2014 at McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood, with burial in Duncan Cemetery. Viewing will be Sunday from 1-5 pm at the funeral home, with family present from 3-5 pm.
