David Leigh Hartsfield

David Leigh Hartsfield, 78, of Muldrow, Oklahoma passed away Friday, April 18, 2025 in his home. He was born October 27, 1946 in Greenwood, Arkansas to Thomas Arl and Rebecca Edris (Carr) Hartsfield. He was a retired carpenter, member of the House of Refuge Church in Gans, OK and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Hartsfield; three sons, Joe Hartsfield and wife, Betina, Joshua Hartsfield and wife, McKinzie and Buddy Cantrell and wife, Susan; seven daughters, Amanda Moses and husband, Rodney, Betty Jones and husband, Jeff, Tonia Rector and husband, Alan, Cynthia Cox and husband, Bill, Janey Cantrell, Janet Tabor and husband, Doug and Carla Tabor and husband, Roger; two brothers, Steve Hartsfield and wife, Brenda and Paul Hartsfield; nineteen grandchildren, Reagan, Riley, Ashlee, Aliesha, Troy, Virgil, Halston, Christina, Trey, Tyler, Jacey, Ashley, Kressa, Patrisha, Christopher, Eric, Troy, Freyja and Lakelyn-Leigh; eighteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, all whom he loved dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Don Cranford.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, April 24 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Cross Cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Roger Tabor, Bill Cox, Doug Tabor, Rodney Moses, Beau Nelson and Zachary Fox.
