Danny Shrum

Danny Shrum, 82, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024 in Fort Smith. He was born March 9, 1942 in Hackett, Arkansas to Danny and Esther Shrum. He was retired from Missouri Pacific Railroad and a member of the Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Shrum; two sons, Darren Shrum and wife, Kayse of Coweta, OK and Corby Shrum and wife, Angie of Hackett; one brother, Tim Shrum of Greenwood; three sisters, Sonja Goines and husband, Gene of Greenwood, Sharon Woodruff of Greenwood and Jayne Stafford and husband, Jack of Dallas, Texas and eight grandchildren, Colton Shrum and wife, Alexis of Stillwater, Kyndall Myer and husband, Guthrie of Stillwater, Joseph Shrum of Coweta, Kilientn Shrum of Stillwater, Karsyn Shrum of Broken Arrow, Kason Shrum of Stillwater, Cade Shrum of Hackett and Cambree Shrum of Hackett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Shrum.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 9 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Mountain View Cemetery in Hackett. Viewing will be Monday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Colton Shrum, Joseph Shrum, Kilientn Shrum, Cade Shrum, Kason Shrum and Guthrie Myer.
