Danny Charles Burton of Greenwood, AR went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2010 at the age of 58. Danny was born May 10, 1951 in Ft. Smith, AR. He graduated from Northside High School in 1969. August 21, 1976 Danny married the love of his life, Judy Page, also of Fort Smith, AR. Danny and Judy’s love and devotion to one another was a true example of the Lord’s design for marriage.
Danny and his brother David started Burton Pools and Spas in 1978, and have been successful business partners ever since.
Danny was an accomplished hunter with trophies from all over the world, and recorded kills of up to 768 yards.
As a father, Danny was always involved in his children’s lives from coaching sports teams to teaching them to hunt and fish, but most of all he taught them to love their Lord and Savior, Jesus Chris
Of all the things Danny accomplished in his life, the thing that was most important to him was serving the Lord. Danny was a true servant for the Lord, ministering to countless people by opening his home to people in need, witnessing for Christ, and seeking the Lord’s will in all aspects of his life. In February 1988 the Lord allowed Danny to start a men’s Bible study at his home that continues to meet to this day. In January 1996 the Lord gave Danny a church, Genesis 1. Danny led and nurtured that church body up to the time of his death. Danny Burton was the epitome of a Servant Leader, a true Disciple of Christ. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
