Charles Wayne Conley

Charles Wayne Conley, 81, of Greenwood passed away January 28, 2018. He was born April 8, 1936 in Cass, Arkansas to the late Lester and Anna Marie (Van Brunt) Conley. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Bill, Fred, Jimmy and Joe Conley and sister, Ruby Jean (Conley) Short.

Charles was baptized at a tent revival in Cass, Arkansas as a young teenager. He graduated Ozark High School in 1956 and went on to serve two tours of duty in the US Army and received an honorable discharge.

He is survived by his wife, Janelle Conley; a son, Wade Conley and wife, Roxanna; three step children, Lesa Macklin and husband, Jim, Sonda McNeill, David Hughart and wife, Renae; a sister, Daisy (Conley) Hunt and husband, Rube; a brother, Bob Conley and wife, Sandi; numerous step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Liberty Cemetery. Viewing will be Tuesday from 1-7 pm at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 5-7 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood, Arkansas.
