Carl Richard “Bud” Wolford (the glass man), 87, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed from this life on Thursday, January 25, 2024 in Fort Smith. Carl was born in Kokomo, Indiana on April 6, 1936 to Jess and Martha Wolford. He spent most of his younger years in Oregon and California before moving to Arkansas in 1967, where he met and married his wife, Linda Joyce (Wilkerson) Wolford. Once in Arkansas, he never left.
Carl was in the glass business as a glazier and glasscutter for 48 years, but his happiest times were spent in his shop making furniture.
Carl is survived by his wife, Linda and great granddaughter, Mallory Martin of the home; one daughter, Dana Pennington and husband, Ken of Greenwood; three sons, Richie Wolford of Greenwood and Carl and Gary Wolford of California; seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
To honor Carl’s wishes there will be no public service. Arrangements are under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
