Bennie Bowers, 88, of Hackett, Arkansas passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born September 22, 1928. He was a farmer, retired from Baldor and of the Christian faith.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, January 19 at Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church with burial at Ramsey Cemetery in Hackett under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Wednesday from 2 – 8 p.m. at Chateau on the Greens, 11311 So. Hwy. 96 in Greenwood, where the family will visit with friends from 4 – 6 p.m.
He is survived by one son, Johnny Bowers of Hackett; one daughter, Barbara Henry of Hackett; one brother, Raymond Lewis Bowers of Tulsa; two sisters, Lorene Ruggles of Hackett and Reba Raney of Broken Arrow; seven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Bowers; one daughter, Diane Ralston and three brothers, Thomas Bowers, Leonard Bowers and Joe Bowers.
Pallbearers will be Johnny K. Bowers, Kevin W. Bowers, Benny E. Bowers, Justin Ralston, Tim Ralston and Billy Joe Bowers.
