A.C. Brown, III of Greenwood, AR, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011. He was born on October 5, 1987 and is the cherished son of A.C. and Kimberly Brown, Jr., beloved brother to Alexis White and Elliott Brown and his brother in law Hunter White and adored grandson to Carol Elliott, of Olathe, KS. He was preceded in death by his granddad and grandmother A.C. and Welela Brown, Sr. of Van Buren, AR and his uncle Michael Elliott of Olathe, KS.
A.C. graduated from Greenwood High School with an Honors Diploma in 2006 and was also voted Mr. GHS his senior year. Following high school, A.C. received an Honors Scholarship to attend Arkansas Tech University. While at Arkansas Tech, A.C. was an active member on campus working as a Resident Assistant, volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club, volunteering with the Presidential Leadership Cabinet and was elected as Vice President of Programming of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. A.C. graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and an Associate’s Degree in Nuclear Technology in December 2010. A.C. has been working at Henderson Engineering Firm in Lowell, AR, as a Mechanical Engineer and Designer.
A.C. was a kind and generous man who believed in being a friend to all. A.C. has a servant heart and always goes above and beyond to make those he loves feel special. A.C. always believed that family comes first and was not afraid to tell people he was a mamma’s boy through and through. A.C. found pleasure in staying up to date on the latest technology. A.C. truly lived life to the fullest.
Services will be held at First Baptist Church in Greenwood on Monday, November 21 at 10:00 A.M. under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be from 1:00 to 9:00 P. M. Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the funeral home where the family will visit with friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M.
Pallbearers will be Ryan McChesney, Brad McBride, Daniel McCaulley, Ryan Henderson, Elliott Brown, Hunter White, Ethan Provost, and Michael Leon. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.
