Born in Port Chester, NY, he was son of William J. and Catherine Yusi Carlucci. He attended Port Chester High School. Robert was a 20-year veteran of the United States Army. He started his Army career in 1948 and retired in 1969 from Alaska with an Honorable Discharge and the rank of E-7 Sargent. He saw active duty twice in the Korean War. He received the Korean Service Medal with 5 Bronze Service Stars, UN Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal – 4th award, The National Defense Service Medal with 2 bronze service stars, the Greek Humanitarian Award, along with a Letter of Appreciation, an Expert Badge with Carbine Bar, Pistol Bar and Rifle Bar and the Sharpshooter Badge with Missile Bar.
Robert enjoyed going to the Port Chester Seniors to work on the computer; as well as playing cards and enjoying the company there. But most of all he will be remembered for his love of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his children Denise (Edward) Quinn, William (Maureen) Carlucci and Renee Carlucci, along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His brother Gene Carlucci and sister Cookie, and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his son John Allen, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Carlucci and his brothers Dominick and Thomas.
Family and Friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, CT. Interment immediately following at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Port Chester, NY.
