Reef had a heart of gold, always there to help those in need, friend and stranger alike. He brought much love and happiness to his family, friends, and communities and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Reef was aptly named as he had a deep connection to the ocean. He loved to surf, skateboard and was an avid sailor, racing with the Palm Beach Sailing Club and the Greenwich High School varsity sailing team.
Reef leaves behind his beloved mother Laura Baker and twin sister and best friend Rainey Baker, both of Greenwich. He is survived by his grandmother, Shirley Tyminski of Greenwich, his aunts, Terri Tyminski of Helsinki, Finland and Cindy Tyminski of Fairfield, and his cousins Matthew, Daniel, and Jenna.
Reef is predeceased by his grandfather, Joseph F. Tyminski of Greenwich, whom he affectionally called ‘Papa Chocolate’ and his uncle, Joseph S. Tyminski of Greenwich and Tennessee.
A funeral service will be held at the First Congregation Church, Old Greenwich on Wednesday August 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. followed by a graveside service at Putnam Cemetery in Greenwich.
