Marie Lucille (Bologna) Keegan

Marie passed peacefully with her daughter Kimberly and dogs Mr. T & Snowball by her side on July 23, 2023 in Osprey, Florida.

Marie married Francis H. Keegan, Jr. first on April 28, 1960 and again on May 6, 1960 by Justice of the Peace Reuben Sirlin, in Town of Rye, County of Westchester and State of New York.

Marie & Frank lived in Riverside, Connecticut before moving to Hollywood, Florida. After Frank’s death Marie moved to Venice, Florida, before moving to Osprey, March 1, 2023.

Marie is predeceased by her husband Francis H. Keegan, Jr. (01/27/16), sons Kenneth Patrick Keegan (06/16/82), Ernest Vitti (11/09/00) and Anthony Vitti (08/28/18).

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly A. Cassia, and son-in-law, Dennis.

Marie worked as a waitress at Tumbledown Dicks and later at Riverside Pharmacy, in addition to raising her children.

Marie joined the Greenwich Women’s Club, helping to plan many events and activities and serving in a variety of capacities and roles. She was also an avid golfer and was part of Greenwich Women’s Golf, and SNEWGA Southern New England Women’s Golf Association, where she took on a variety of roles.

Marie had over 10-holes in one. Her first was at the Bruce Memorial Golf Course’s 110-yard 15th hole, playing with Janet Senft, Jo Ann Stein and Mary Kilfoil. Her 8th hole in one was on the 8th hole and she was playing with a priest. Between Connecticut & Florida she won 5 club championships.
