On the morning of January 4, 2022 the Lord beckoned Joe home for his earthly journey was complete.
Joe was born on September 5, 1946 to Emil and Eda (Bellomo) Lanza in Bronx, N.Y. The family later moved to Mamaroneck where Joe attended school, established a business and started a family.
Joe married MaryAnn (Basso) Lanza in 1974. Shortly after their marriage, they established Lanza Electrical Contracting Company where Joe remained President until his retirement,
Joe was an active community member. He served as President of St. Vito’s Parish Council, was a member of the board of Sound Federal Savings and Loan, Kiwanis Club, and Rye Neck High School Key Club Advisor. Joe was also active in Village politics where he served as Chairman of the Republican Party as well as a trustee and Mayor.
Joe was predeceased by his parents and sister-in-law Susan (Basso) O’Brien. Joe is survived by his wife MaryAnn and his children Kristin (Tony), Josh (Pam), his grandsons Wyatt and Lucas, his brother and partner in all of their business ventures James (Jill) Lanza, brother-in-law Raymond (Josette) Basso, Tim O'Brien and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation Sunday, January 9th 2:00 pm-7:00 pm at Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home.
