Brian graduated from Greenwich High School in 2009. Brian was a talented athlete who loved to play Ice Hockey. He and his teammates won the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference Championship in his senior year at Greenwich High. He was also an Eagle Scout. Brian attended Indiana University where he was a sophomore.
Brian is survived by his parents Thomas E. Macken, Jr, and Laura M. Fox, and his brothers Craig, Paul, and Eric. He is also survived by his grandmothers Pauline Fox of Sacramento California and Antoinette Macken, of Rockville Centre, NY, his aunts and uncles, Denyse and James Nishio, Susan Fox, Kathleen and David Mooney, Eileen and Timothy Hogan, and Christine and Gregory Moran, and his cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, John J. Fox, and Thomas E. Macken.
Brian was surrounded by many wonderful friends who meant to so much to him. He had a passion for life and was blessed to have such a large circle of friends with whom he enjoyed spending time with. Many might also recall seeing Brian at Rinaldi's in Cos Cob or A&P Fresh in Riverside where he worked part time. When you think of Brian remember his smile and that famous "Brian Macken Hug".
Calling hours will be Sunday, January 23rd, from 3:00-7:00 PM and Monday, January 24th from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Leo P Gallagher Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, CT 06830. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Agnes Church in Greenwich, CT on Tuesday, January 25th at 10AM.
