Bill was married to the love of his life, Claire Ann Baker for 56 years.
They had two sons, William (Bill) Jr. and Tim. Papa Bill held a special place in his heart for his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with Bill Jr.’s beautiful daughter Elizabeth, and her husband David Nichols. He also adored his daughter in love Dianna, Tim’s wife, and was so proud of their daughter Sarah Jane and her many accomplishments. As the patriarch of his family, he also leaves many nieces and nephews who love and respect Uncle William as a wonderful Christian man. He loved them all.
Bill graduated from Parker High School and attended North Greenville College. He spent his career in the electrical business as an operations manager and mentor for many young men in his field. Bill retired from Mattox Electrical supply in 1998 due to health issues.
He was predeceased by his sister Madge Garron and her husband Raymond, and the Rev. Claire and Ann Baker, His Father and Mother in Love who thought of him as a very special son.
Bill committed his life to our Lord and Savior at a very young age and always lived his life an exemplary example for his family and friends. He was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church of Taylors and the Open Arms Sunday School Class. He will be missed so much by so many family and friends but most of all, his best friend Claire.
Visitation and a celebration of his life will be at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Visitation on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM with the celebration of life service in the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel at 7:00 PM. Burial will be private.
