Born in Greenville, SC he was the son of the late John Frank Sanders, Sr. and Eula Jane Myers Sanders. Don was employed with Pre-Owned Auto Truck Sales of Piedmont, SC where he was a car salesman for many years alongside his brother.
He is survived by his brother Edward Sanders (Beth) of Belton, SC and many very special nieces Sarah Jane Sanders, Staci Yeargin, Mary Ivester, Sharon Morse, Virginia Haughton and nephews Sam Sanders, and David Sanders. Don was predeceased by two brothers, John Frank Sanders, Jr. and Gene Sanders.
Don proudly served our country as part of the 9th Infantry in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of four Bronze Star Medals during his service. He will always be remembered for his strength, courage and love for his family.
Don was of the Presbyterian faith receiving the Lord as his savior at a very young age at Augusta Street Presbyterian Church, Greenville, SC.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 3, 2023 in the Chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Dr. Greenville, SC 29609.
