William “Billy” Richardson, who was born in Greenville, SC on November 4, 1939, passed away September 8, 2024. He leaves behind his wife, Jane Richardson, sons Doug Richardson (Melissa) and Hunter Richardson (Ashley), five grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Billy attended Greenville High where he played football and graduated in 1958. He attended the University of South Carolina and graduated with a law degree in 1965. He then went on to practice law for 42 years until his retirement in 2008.
In addition to his law career, Billy was a voracious reader who loved to hunt, fish, travel and enjoy a great glass of wine over a good meal with family and friends. He was an avid Gamecocks fan and attended as many football games as he could.
There is no way to capture the full life Billy lived in so few words. The family encourages and welcomes everyone to share remembrances and stories you have of him.
