William P. Davis, 82, of Greenville, died peacefully in his sleep Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014.
Born in Greenville County on May 26, 1932, a son of the late Pinkney Poole and Sara Foster Davis, he was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and owner of Davis Electric Company, Inc. since 1959.
Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Joan Dalton Davis; a daughter, Laraine (Milton) Shockley of Greenville; sons, Bill (Jacque) Davis of Atlanta and Andy Davis of Greenville; a brother, David (Judy) Davis of Greenville; four grandchildren, Ashley S. (Brian) Bratton, Carrie S. (Michael) Allen, Megan Shockley, all of Greenville, and Tyler Davis of Atlanta, GA; and three great-grandchildren, Ryan Elizabeth and Ford Allen and Blaze Bratton; and his special mother-in-law, Carolyn Dalton.
He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Vanadore.
Services will be held 2 pm Tuesday in The Mackey Mortuary Chapel.
Visitation will be held 12:45 to 1:45 pm.
Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Clemson, SC.
