Wendell Andrew Taylor Sr.

Wendell Andrew (Drew) Taylor, 75 of North Myrtle Beach, SC died on Saturday, June 20, 2015. Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Wendell Ernest and Marianne Martin Taylor. He was a 1958 graduate of Greenville High School and retired from Transouth Financial Services as a Senior Vice President. Drew was a loyal and hardworking man that provided well for the Family he loved. He was an avid golfer for most of his life. Drew had declining health issues for several years but was still able to enjoy his dogs, cats as well as the many birds, squirrels and rabbits he fed in his backyard. He is survived by his wife: Carolyn Vaughn Taylor; son: Wendell Andrew Taylor, Jr. (Connie) of Florence, SC; Granddaughter: Chloe Ray Taylor, a 2015 USC graduate, of whom he was so proud; nephew: George McKinney; nieces: Debbie McKinney and Allison Ross. He was predeceased by: a son: Ernest Vaughn Taylor and a sister: Dana Taylor Williams. The family would like to thank the Home Health Care ladies, Mary and Karen and also the wonderful Hospice Nurses. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 11:00 am to 12:00noon followed by the funeral at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with entombment in Remembrance Mausoleum in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
