On 11/29/2016, the local Greenville Indian Hindu community lost a great, compassionate and humble man, whose cultural and religious vision helped set groundwork for the Greenville Indian community. Vipin (Vip) Ramanlal Patel, from Ahmedabad born in Vansoli, India, a son of Ramanlal and Maniben Patel, with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, fell victim to a heart-attack.
Surviving family members are wife Kaumudi (Kumee) Patel, and his two sons, Suneer V. Patel, daughter-in-law Rae, with grandchildren Ellora and Hans and Kedar V. Patel, daughter-in-law Divia, with grandchildren Amaya and Malaina. Vipin is survived by 2 brothers and 3 sisters Suresh (Ila) FL, Vimal, CA, Rajendra (Kala) CA, Ranjan (Arvind) CA, and Sushila (Mafat) NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectively asks that you donate in Vipin’s memory to the Vedic Center of Greenville, an Indian Temple which he was integral in helping to develop in the Greenville Community (Vedic Center of Greenville – 520 Bethel Drive, Mauldin SC 29662).
