Vincent was born in Queens, New York to the late Carmela Lagatuda and Peter Speciale. He spent his childhood years into early adulthood in Queens. Vinny loved all sports, especially baseball, and was a dedicated fan of all teams New York. Vinny loved to play softball and played well into his adult life. Vinny was very proud of the years spent serving his country in the United States Air Force, serving in Korea as a supply chain clerk.
After marrying Janice, his beloved wife of 52 years, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey with their blended family of 7 children. Spending time with family was his favorite thing to do.
Vinny spent 25 years working in the trucking industry as a dispatcher before retiring with Janice to Greenville, South Carolina in 2004. Vinny and his wife Janice enjoyed going out to dinner, going to the theater, watching sports and traveling. He will always be remembered by everyone who knew him for his kindness and loyalty.
Vinny was predeceased by his beloved wife Janice Oeters Speciale. He is survived by his children Doris Pack (Rick), Michael Dudasik (Mary), Kathleen Rosenow (Phil), Steven Dudasik (Ann Leigh), Maureen Clark (Lee), Laura Paulin and Dianne Eikenbusch (Werner). He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A private service will be held on Saturday, December 30th, at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, South Carolina.
