Tyler William "Rick" Jahns

He was the son of Marjorie Wray Jahns and Tyler Brown Jahns of Sparta, NJ. Rick was a sports enthusiast having played baseball as a child and into high school. He attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee where he met his wife, Pam. He loved college football, always cheering on his Alma Mater. He worked for Steel Heddle and for the Cryovac Division of W.R. Grace and Company.

Rick is survived by his daughter, Leia Jahns Herring (John) of Greer, SC, his 3 beloved grand daughters, Tyler Ashley Shockley (Emma) of Swoope, VA, McKenley Grace Webb (David) of Savannah, GA, and Ella Jane Webb of Greer, SC. In addition he is survived by 3 siblings, Greg Jahns (Ellen) of Richmond, VA, Linda Jahns Henninger (Steen) of Fort Collins, CO, and Doug Jahns (Joey) of Atlanta, GA and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his beautiful wife, Pamela Shorey Jahns and his parents.

Rick was an avid pet lover leaving behind his beloved dog, Zack and cat, Dusty.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Mackey Funerals and Cremations, 311 Century Drive Greenville, SC 29607 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rick's honor can be made to the American Heart Association.
