Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Theodore D. and Mary Elizabeth Simpson Clement.
Mr. Clement served in the United States Navy during the Korean War on the USS Colahan. He was also a member of the U.S Power Squadron, serving as the Greenville Commander in 1978, and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and the Greenville Jaycees.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years Martha Jane Clement; son, Theodore “Tripp” D. Clement III (Becky) of Greenville; daughters, Meredith Abner of Greenville and Judy Clement-Amaya (Oscar) of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hutcheson (Justin) of Tyler, TX, Christy Clement of Greenville, Max Abner and his father Kelly Abner of Greenville; great-grandchildren, Luke and Claire Hutcheson of Tyler, TX
A memorial gathering will be held Monday, November 19, 2018 from 12 noon until 2pm at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Interim Hospice for the wonderful care and attention they provided.
