Terry was born April 15, 1946 in Greenville, South Carolina to Mildred Jenkins Jackson of Hartwell, GA. and John Hornsby Jackson of Sweetwater, TN.
Terry was a 1964 graduate of Greenville High School and a 1968 graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. in Geology and an Associate Degree in Accounting.
Terry served in the United States Air Force from 1969-1973.
Following his service to our country, Terry worked for WR Grace and Sealed Air Cryocrac Division until he retired in 2009.
Terry is survived by; daughter Ashley Lord and son-in-law Darren Lord of Mt. Juliet, TN.; grandsons Jackson and Ethan Lord also of Mt. Juliet TN. Terry also leaves many loved nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
Terry was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Linda Joyce Stevens Jackson of Clemson , SC who passed away in February 2011. Also preceding Terry in death were his father John Hornsby Jackson and mother Mildred Jenkins Jackson.
A visitation for Terry will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609, followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00PM officiated by Rev. Aaron Rayburn.
In lieu of flowers, Terry would like for donations to be made to ROAR outdoors. This is a 501c3 nonprofit organization run by Terry's dear friends Mike Hudson and Michal Parker. ROAR exists to empower the disabled to utilize their God-given talents and abilities in outdoor settings. They develop and distribute adaptive equipment for outdoor related activities for the disabled including hunting, fishing, sporting events, travel, among many others. They educate the public and work with individuals and companies to provide the necessary adaptations that help make living life to the fullest a reality for disabled individuals and their families. Please consider donating or getting involved with this wonderful organization. All donations are tax deductible and used for the advancement, enrichment, and adventures for those with physical disabilities.
