Ruth Jones Nealy

Ruth was a wonderful mother and loved her family endlessly. She worked for Greenville County Schools for over 30 years, and was a member of Grove Road Baptist Church for over 10 years. She was an avid cook and coffee lover, and you could find her working Sudoku and other puzzles during her down time. She was a caretaker, a beloved Grammie and Mother, and many friends and family affectionately called her Mama Ruth.

Ruth is survived by her daughters Pamela Nealy Tyree (Allen) and Sheree Nealy Holmes (Larry); her grandchildren Kyle Mitchell Rogers, Amanda Brooke Walker (Jeremy), Christopher Ross Holmes, and Alex Curtis Tyree; her great-grandchildren Peyton Alexis Walker and Alyssa James Walker; her brother Mack Cecil Jones (Jane); her niece Lisa Jones Hall; her nephew Jason Jones; and numerous cousins. In addition to her parents, Ruth is predeceased by her brother Roger Dale Jones.

A celebration of life will be held at Grove Road Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 10th at 11:00am. The family will receive friends at Mackey Mortuary on Monday, January 9th from 6:00-8:00pm. The family is gathering at 178 New Harrison Bridge Road in Simpsonville.
