Russell Dale Vickery, 58, the youngest of three children born to Mellie Barton Vickery and James Edwin Vickery passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024. Rusty had a zest for life. He was one of the most positive and uplifting people you’d ever meet. He loved to entertain, was a talented singer, and just a genuine good person. His many many friends are the testimony to his life. He was a loving father to his two children and was so proud of them. Predeceased in death by his parents and his brother-in-law Rickey Davis.
He leaves behind a son, Charles Russell Vickery, a daughter, Alyssa Paige, and granddaughter Haydyn. His brother Eddie Jr., niece Shani (Scott) and their children, Domenic, Damien and Mia, and nephew Tray, his sister Denise, niece Christa (Casey) their three children Sophie, Millie and Landry whom he adored, his nephew Corey and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Rusty truly loved the Lord and made it known to anyone who knew him. We know that he is with our beloved savior and we will see him again.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 21 at Inspire Church located at 8745 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29617 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm.
There will be a private burial.
