Ruby Page Littlejohn, 89, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 at National Healthcare of Greenville, SC. She was the wife of Thomas E. Littlejohn, Sr., former principal of Hughes Middle School and Director of Human Resources for Greenville County Schools, until his death in 1986.
Born, Ruby Virginia Page, on August 8, 1923 to James Crawford and Molly Jackson Page in Campobello, SC, she was the last surviving of ten brothers and sisters. Ruby was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and Draughon’s Business College. She was formerly a legal secretary for Greenville County Probate Court, and later served as the personnel attendance clerk for Greenville County Schools.
Mrs. Littlejohn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Active in the community, she was a past president of the Lake Forest Community Association, and a long-time volunteer for the American Cancer Society, as well as the Saint Francis Hospital System, where she was recognized as one of the Volunteers of the Year in 2002.
Mrs. Littlejohn is survived by her son, Thomas E. Littlejohn, Jr., and his wife, Tammy Poore Littlejohn, and one granddaughter, Caitlin A. Littlejohn of Greenville.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenville, SC with Rev. Susan Crowell presiding. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park at the Remembrance Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church prior to the service.

The family wishes to thank Mrs. Littlejohn’s caregivers at Oakleaf Village in Greer, SC where she was a resident from 2003-2011, and at NHC Healthcare of Greenville, SC.
