Ronald D. Santos, of Simpsonville, SC, formerly of Forestdale and Plymouth, died on September 18, 2021. He was 80 years old.
He was the husband of Ann (Ferazzi) Santos. They were married for 61 years.
The son of Antonio and Mary (Cabral) Santos, he was born and raised in Plymouth. He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1959.
Mr. Santos enlisted in the US Army in 1959 to 1962. He started his career as an EMT/Firefighter for the Town of Sandwich and retired as the Fire Inspector in 2005. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, council #2911 in Bourne and served as the Grand Knight from 1976 to 1977. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0188 and the Mid-Cape Jaycees. He also served as the Fire Prevention Officer and on the Emergency Planning Committee.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his three daughters, Lisa Franks (Will), Natalie Smith (Dan), and Elizabeth Begin (Stephen). Nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who they affectionately called “Puppy”.
He was someone who enjoyed his family and friends and they enjoyed him. He had an infectious smile and will be greatly missed.
