Richard Keith Young, age 95, husband of Sara Ann Pool Young, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017.
Born in Queen City, Missouri, he was a son of the late Harry Murfin and Helen McNaul Young. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp Captain and Veteran of World War II, where he served as a pilot and earned many medals and ribbons for his service during World War II. Mr. Young retired from the Fluor Corporation as pilot. He was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Greenville.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Young is survived by a son, Richard Keith Young Jr. and wife Alice Darby Young; a daughter, Terry Merryman and a grandson, Andrew Christopher Young. He was predeceased by two sisters; Roberta Turner of Derango, CO. and Joanne Holding of Kansas City, MO.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday December 2, 2017 at 11:30 am in the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville. SC 29609. The family will receive friends from 10:30am-11:30am at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
