Mr. Richard Paul Bigger

Richard Paul Bigger, 66, of Greenville, SC, husband of Karen B. Bigger for 42 years, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Born in Bay Shore, NY, son of the late Richard Paul Bigger, Sr and Norah S Bigger. He graduated from Rutgers University and was a US Army Ranger and Vietnam Veteran. For 29 years he worked for McGraw Hill Book Company followed by John Wiley & Sons for ten years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Kayne B. (Thomas) Anderson and grandchildren Anna Grace and Thomas; and daughter, Sage L. (Wes) Andrews, and grandchildren Wyatt, Walker, Lalla and Waylon. Survivors are also Sarah K. Burton, H. Stewart Bigger, Joel R. Bigger and many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased sister is Elizabeth J. Bigger. He was a member and enjoyed serving and teaching at Edwards Road Baptist Church. In his retirement he delighted in his grandchildren, reading and studying the bible, wood working, fly fishing and Clemson football. Visitation will be held at Edwards Road Baptist Church on Saturday, August 2 from 12:00-1:15pm followed by the funeral service at 1:30pm. Private Burial service immediately following the funeral for family and close friends at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
