Peggy Joyce Morgan, 70, of Greenville, SC, passed away on August 26, 2017. She was the daughter of the late James Boyce and Evelyn Katherine Small Morgan. Peggy Joyce was a graduate of Furman University and a beloved teacher for over 30 years at Northwest Middle School. She also taught for several years for the GED program at Northwest Crescent Child Development Center, a program she was very passionate about. She was a long-time member of St. James Episcopal Church and a proud member of the Daughters of the Confederacy. She was also an avid reader and Amazon shopper. Peggy Joyce is survived by her sisters, Mary Lynne Landrith of Johns Island and Jane Vaughn of Pendleton; her brothers, James Edward Morgan of Simpsonville and Wayne Boyce Morgan of Fountain Inn; a special niece who was like her sister, Bonnie Gossett of Greenville; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. The family would like to especially thank Justin Andrew Landrith for the 13 years he spent as Peggy Joyce’s primary caregiver. Justin and his wife Kim cared for Peggy Joyce throughout her illness, putting her needs above their own, and the family will always be grateful for them. A memorial service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church on Sunday, September 10th at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northwest Crescent Child Development Center, 927 North Franklin Road, Greenville, SC 29617.
